Let's Pray Together Today
Last week I shared a simple process to start looking at really why there are lies and issues around community and your own heart in life with the help of Jesus is all knowing gaze.
Today I want to help you embrace that process even more through our prayer episode of the podcast. I’m going to keep this reflection quite short because I really want to stress the importance of taking that time with the Lord - and I definitely invite you to do that with the podcast but if you prefer to pray on your own, please do that.
However you prefer it, just pray.
This work of fighting lies is so important for us to cooperate in, but it’s just as important for us to let Jesus lead. At the end of the day, we don’t really know what we need. We don’t often even know ourselves. The root of our wounds can be mysterious to us the reason that we struggle with the things that we do might elude us for most of our lives.
But God knows all of these intricacies of our hearts. And not only does he know them, He desires to heal them - wherever they need healing.
That is why healing is another classic example of both/and.
We can’t just go boneless on the floor and say "you do it all God," and take no active part in our healing, but we also can’t heal ourselves. We need the spark of our will aligned with God's desire to heal us to ignite the new fire the Lord wants to share with us.
So let's jump in a pray.
