Scriptures on ‘Don’t Worry About Tomorrow’

Don’t Worry About Tomorrow

What happened yesterday has passed and what lies ahead tomorrow is unknown. Yet, so much of our lives are spent stuck in the past or worried about our future.

Could you imagine what it would be like not to be worried about anything? Although it seems like an impossible task to do in our own strength, it is what God not only calls us to do but empowers us to do through His Word and Holy Spirit.

We can’t always keep ourselves from experiencing anxiety as our first response to the troubles of tomorrow. But what we do with that worry once we are aware of it, is what makes the difference between an unsteady anxious heart and one that has surrendered control of tomorrow and trust in the Lord.

Knowing what happens tomorrow might feel as though it will relieve us but what’s most important is not our knowledge of the future but our knowledge of God, who promises to be with us in every circumstance we face.

Our worries are an endless list that will rob us of both the joy and strength of today if we allow it to. We worry about our future, our finances, our relationships, and our social status.

As plentiful as our worries are, God’s Word speaks widely and powerfully on this area of our lives. Let these scriptures inform your worries for the future and deepen your trust in His ability to take care of you.

When our eyes are set on the troubles of tomorrow it steals away our strength to deal with the troubles of today. We will face troubles today but He gives us the grace to face it, one day at a time.

Tomorrow, He will give you the grace, wisdom and strength you need, and each day after that. Look to Him every day because He cares for you in every moment.
