Bible Verses about Humilty

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT HUMILITY

Humility is an unnegotiable trait we must have as Christian women. The Bible shows us the example of our Lord Jesus who lived a humble life while he was on earth. We are to follow this same example too in our daily lives. Humility means that we do not have an over-esteemed perception of ourselves and that we learn to give glory to God and recognize his supremacy at all times. Without humility, the Christian walk is just a mirage.

Although humility should be our normal quality as believers, it is not the normal inclination of our human nature. The human nature is conditioned for pride and selfishness. Humility on the other hand requires selflessness. To be humble as we should be, we must note that it is not an automatic process. Developing the mindset of humility is a conscious, active process that requires your daily participation. If you don’t give yourself a constant reminder that God wants you to stay humble, especially in the middle of great achievements, you might become proud without even knowing it.

Here are a couple of Bible verses on Humility that will help you stay humble and remain acceptable to God always. Let’s get into them:

CONCLUSION

Humility is the way of lifting and promotion in God. When you recognize God’s Almighty power and depend totally on him, he will be quick to help you when you need it. Pride, on the other hand, turns God from a man like no other thing. To stay humble, you must take your focus off yourself and recognize that everything isn’t all about you. This means that have a balanced perspective of yourself and others.

That way, it will be easy for you to honour other people and learn from them too. Only God is the Almighty and All-knowing one. Even at that, God himself is humble. How much more we humans that our lives last but for a moment. Honour God by staying humble!
